Property Experts Reveal How Much Bridgerton Filming Locations Are Worth Today

A new spin-off season of Bridgerton, following the younger years of Queen Charlotte and her blooming relationship with King George, will be hitting screens in early May, once again showing off the stunning regal properties of historic Britain that fans have come to love. 

From grand palaces playing host to lavish society balls and royal residences, including Hampton Court Palace and Blenheim Palace, to grand houses such as The Ranger's House in Greenwich - there are a whole host of properties for viewers to swoon over as they watch along. 

To find out the true cost of living like one of the families in Bridgerton, new research from property experts  GetAgent  reveals the price of living in one of these buildings in 2023. 

Taking the original cost of the filming locations in the newest series of Bridgerton and accounting for inflation, the analysis reveals that some of the buildings are worth almost $2 billion (AUD) in today's current market - with Hampton Court Palace setting you back a staggering $1.99 billion, should you be in the market to live like a Queen. 

Hampton Court Palace - $1,990,443,213

Hampton Court Palace is located in the London borough of Richmond upon Thames and its stunning grounds and striking features are loved by visitors. The palace is open to tourists and has also featured in several films and TV shows before including: The Great, Cinderella and The Young Victoria. The palace was previously used in the Bridgerton series as Queen Charlotte's residence, so fans are expecting to once again see the building feature in the upcoming season.

Blenheim Palace - $405,169,647

Located in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, this impressive palace was once the home of Winston Churchill, with the palace still housing members of the family today. Open to the public, the palace features stunning interiors, beautiful grounds and different exhibitions to educate and entertain visitors. The palace is no stranger to hosting TV and film crews, previously featuring in several blockbusters from Harry Potter to James Bond. The palace is expected to feature in scenes where King George and Queen Charlotte spend time as they start their marriage together. 

Holburne Museum, Bath - $88,644,368

The striking museum, located in the Sydney Pleasure Gardens in Bath combines a touch of modern architecture with a historic Grade I listed building. The front of the museum recently starred in the previous series of Bridgerton as the home of Lady Danbury, with the impressive entrance making its debut in series one. The museum itself was the city of Bath's first public art gallery and is home to some seriously impressive pieces from the collection of Sir William Holburne. 

The Ranger's House Greenwich - $70,129,340

This stunning Georgian mansion was previously used as The Bridgerton's abode in series one and two, so it's likely it will appear once again in the upcoming series. Situated in Blackheath, the property backs directly onto Greenwich Park. The house was taken on by English Heritage back in 1986 and is now open to the public, where they can admire the stunning architecture, grand rooms and world-class art collection. 

Belton House, Lincolnshire - $45,692,926

A new filming location for the Bridgerton series, this house located in the Midlands is a grand addition to the popular filming spots used throughout the show. Previously featured in other classic period adaptations including Pride and Prejudice, Bleak House and Jane Eyre, the stunning grounds are no stranger to helping bring the past to life, and would cost over $45 million to live in in 2023.

The Assembly Rooms, Bath - $5,530,618

Designed by John Wood the Younger back in 1769 this Grade I listed building was once the fashionable hub of Georgian society and would host evening balls and other public functions. The rooms have previously been used in Bridgerton filming so it's no surprise that they'll likely feature again in the spin off show, documenting Queen Charlotte's debut into royal society. The Assembly Rooms would cost almost $5 million to purchase in the current market.

Of course a lot of the filming locations had to be fit for a Queen, it's great to see some of the palaces set to feature, showcasing their splendour on the global screen. It's also amazing to see properties from different parts of the UK making their debut, with Belton House in Lincolnshire set to feature for the first time and of course the regally renowned city of Bath also returning as the backdrop for some of the filming. 

Whilst it's unlikely most of us will end up bagging a palace as our future home, it's interesting to see how much the Bridgerton buildings would cost if they were on the market in 2023. However, living near one of these popular filming destinations offers up an opportunity to shine a light on your property's location, as filming destinations often become in-demand with tourists and house-hunters alike after a popular series airs." 

Hampton Court Palace, for example, which has previously been depicted as Queen Charlotte's home, would cost almost $2 billion dollars (AUD) to buy in today's market - other filming locations which are set to feature in the upcoming season include Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, Holburne Museum in Bath and Belton House in Lincolnshire.
